Some of the world’s most talented colt starters have never taken center stage. Their talent is as plentiful as the well-known horsemanship clinicians we have grown to love and they work hard every day to create a better world for the horse. You may not know who they are, but their gift is undeniable and their time to shine is coming. Road to the Horse is proud to announce a diverse group of four horsemen on Wednesday, September 18, who will each claim a Wild Card Challenge Competitor position at Road to the Horse 2025.
The Wild Card Challenge will take place on Thursday March 27 (Round 1 & 2) and Friday March 28 (Wild Card Finals). The winner of the Wild Card Challenge will automatically be awarded a position as a 2025 Championship Competitor where they will compete for the World Championship of Colt Starting title and their share of the $135,000 purse, alongside Vicki Wilson (NZ), Phil Haugen (USA) and Tik Maynard (Canada).
