Sadie Fisher (USA)

Sadie Fisher is the owner and trainer behind Unbridled Equine, based in Pennsylvania, where she runs her business alongside her husband and four children. What began as a childhood fascination with horses has grown into a lifelong pursuit of better communication, connection, and partnership with them.

Growing up Amish, Sadie rode and drove ponies and horses everywhere—from trips to town and school to everyday errands. At age 11, she discovered her true passion for horsemanship, and horses soon became the foundation of her life.

As a young girl, she rode English and loved jumping before eventually shifting her focus to Western disciplines, where she found her calling in colt starting. At 15, she trained her first horse and began learning from experienced trainers she met at equine expos and Cook Forest Scenic Trail Rides. Influences such as the Lyons family and Ken McNabb helped shape her philosophy, but Sadie developed her own approach—believing every trainer and horse has something valuable to teach.

In 2013, Sadie officially launched Unbridled Equine, combining her skills as both a trainer and entertainer. She has started countless horses under saddle and in harness, developed confident trail mounts, introduced trick training, and worked to create safe, fun, and versatile partners for owners. Her training interests span a wide range of disciplines, and she considers herself an all-around horsewoman. Colt starting, trailer loading, riding bareback and bridleless, demonstrations, and Roman riding remain among her favorite pursuits.

Sadie trains with practical, straightforward methods, using pressure-and-release techniques and adjusting her approach to fit each horse’s unique needs. She finds joy in the daily challenge of learning to read and feel her horses better, and in watching their confidence grow.

To Sadie, horse training is far more than a profession—it’s a way to connect with people, inspire growth, and reflect on life itself. “I’m continually amazed how what we teach horses can be applied to our own lives,” she says.

Since becoming a mother of four, Sadie has embraced a new balance of family and horsemanship. In early 2025, an unexpected opportunity arose when she was selected as a Road to the Horse Wild Card competitor—something she had once only dreamed of.

Sadie looks forward to the experience, the growth it brings, and the chance to share her passion for horsemanship with others who feel the same spark.

I feel extremely honored and thrilled to be a Wild Card Competitor at Road to the Horse 2026. I am excited to challenge myself, meet people, the colts, and share this passion that the Lord has given me. Thank you, Road to the Horse for this amazing opportunity” – Sadie Fisher
