The Purpose

The purpose of Road to the Horse is to identify the superior colt starter who accumulates the highest score throughout the competition. Judging focuses on the competitor and the effectiveness of their horsemanship methodology to communicate, educate and build a partnership with their colt based on trust.

About Morris Equine Group

Morris Communications Company, LLC, is excited to take the reins of Road to the Horse from event founder Tootie Bland, who sold the event to the media company last year. Tootie Bland’s dedication and boundless creativity will be greatly missed, but Morris is eager to build on and expand the reach of Road to the Horse, staying true to the fundamental horsemanship principles of the event.
