Cristobal Scarpati

Cristobal Scarpati was born in San Luis, Argentina, in 1977. Born into a family passionate about horses, Scarpati’s father was a horse trainer and competitor.

Surrounded by horses throughout his youth, Scarpati learned to overcome his fear of horses, and in the process, he learned how to help horses overcome their own fears and traumas.

Growing up, a career dedicated to horses was not a financially sustainable option for Scarpati in Argentina, so he found himself taking a break from horses while he attended University to further his education. Several years away from horses left Scarpati with a deep emptiness inside.

As he completed his education, Scarpati understood that a life without horses was not thelife he wanted. At 24, Scarpati made a commitment to dedicate his entire life to horses. He felt intense joy and life coming back into his soul.

Scarpati’s horsemanship techniques are strongly influenced by his father, Oscar Scarpati, who, in turn, learned them from an older Indian horseman called Don Cristobal Luna. Scarpatibears his name “Cristobal” with great honor and strives to pass forward his teachings, which he calls Doma India Scarpati.

Scarpati is grateful for the fulfilled life he leads now with his wife, four children and his horses. He has had the opportunity to realize a long list of dreams and still has dreams to be realized, all of which he owes to horses. Learn more at scarpatihorsemanship.com.

“My most powerful motivation is to be able to help transmit a legacy of love and respect for horses. Every morning, I thank God for this beautiful gift of being able to live with my family, in the countryside, with horses.” — Cristobal Scarpati
