Road to the Horse 2026 continues to raise the bar with the addition of equine entertainer Elliot Holtzman, bringing a unique blend of adventure and artistry to the Kentucky Horse Park this March.
A first-generation horse trainer, Holtzman’s path to horsemanship is anything but ordinary. His diverse background—ranging from primitive survival skills and construction to piano instruction—has shaped a thoughtful, creative approach to working with horses that resonates with audiences of all ages. Each performance reflects not only skill and preparation, but a deep respect for the horse as a willing partner.
Based in Nocona, Texas, Elliot and his wife, Caitie, own and operate Versatile Horsemanship, where they start colts, train liberty horses, teach clinics, and compete and perform with their own horses across the country. Their work emphasizes versatility, communication, and trust—values that align seamlessly with the spirit of Road to the Horse.
Holtzman’s performances promise to add an exciting and memorable dimension to an already impressive Road to the Horse 2026 lineup, offering spectators a fresh perspective on what’s possible when creativity and horsemanship come together.
Road to the Horse 2026 takes place March 19–22 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. To learn more about Elliot Holtzman and his work, visit versatilehorses.com.
