From its humble beginnings in Cowtown Coliseum in 2003, Road to the Horse has been dedicated to educating fans in the art of natural horsemanship. Road to the Horse 2021 Texas tickets are sold out. Can I still purchase tickets?
Yes. We’re excited to announce that local regulations have permitted a small expansion in the capacity of the Cowtown Coliseum for Road to the Horse 2021. This local amendment has resulted in a limited number of additional General Admission tickets that will be available, starting on Friday February 12. Purchase tickets here.

Is there a limit on how many tickets I can purchase?
Yes. Our usual policy applies. Fans may purchase up to (8) Road to the Horse 2021 tickets for Texas.
What ticket options are available at the Cowtown Coliseum?
There are four seating options at the Cowtown Coliseum. Each ticket allows daily entry for the entire event. Please see the photographs and watch the video below to view seat options. Our usual ticket policy applies, tickets are non refundable unless an event cancelation occurs:
- General Admission Ticket: $130 Seating will not be assigned.
- Silver Spur Box Seat: $185 Assigned box seating along the arena fence with padded seats.
- Gold Buckle Box Seat: $260 Assigned box seating along the arena fence, at the center line. Captain’s chair seating with drink holders.
- VIP Experience Seating $475 Assigned seating above the roping chutes with a bird’s eye view of all the action. Rail seating with padded bar stools. Includes refreshments and additional RTTH VIP benefits. Private bar and bathroom.
Will there be activities on Thursday March 25, 2021?
Unlike years past, activities hosted on Thursday, March 25 will require a ticket, so we can monitor fan count to follow local capacity regulations. Each purchased ticket will allow entry to the event in Fort Worth, Texas, from Thursday, March 25 to Sunday, March 28, 2021.
Will I have to wear a face mask? Will seats be social distanced?
In accordance with Governor Abbott’s latest executive order, all guests entering Cowtown Coliseum will be required to wear a face covering. The requirement does not apply to people who are eating or drinking, to anyone for whom the wearing of a face covering poses a significant mental or physical health risk, and/or to children under the age of 10 (please note, however, that the CDC recommends face coverings for all people 2 years of age or older). Please click here to view the full executive order. Temperatures will also be checked on arrival.
General Admission seats will not be assigned so fans can social distance at their comfort. Please note that Silver Spur, Gold Buckle and VIP Experience Seats will be assigned. Due to the size of these areas, it is recommended fans purchase tickets in each box for those coming in the same party.
What safety regulations will be in place during the event?
The Cowtown Coliseum takes an active role in monitoring and managing capacity levels and encourages social distancing. All guests and staff are required to wear a mask per the Tarrant County Executive Order. The temperature of every staff member and guest is checked as they enter the building. A dedicated sanitation team is routinely deep cleaning high-traffic areas before, during and after operating hours. The Cowtown Coliseum monitors the CDC, as well as national, state and local health officials for best practices.
Please note Cowtown Coliseum concession stands, as well as the Road to the Horse booth, will be cashless and require a credit or debit card.
Does one ticket cover all 4 days of Road to the Horse action?
Yes. One ticket will cover all 4 days of action from Thursday March 25 to Sunday March 28, 2021. A detailed event schedule will be released shortly.
At what age does a child need a ticket?
Children over the age of two years will need a ticket to enter. Children under two will be permitted in the venue and will be able to sit on their guardian’s lap.
Are dogs permitted in Cowtown Coliseum?
No. Only certified service animals, with documentation, are permitted in the arena.
Who are the competitors for Road to the Horse 2021 – Texas?
Returning to its Texas roots, Road to the Horse 2021 will host the same talented line up from the postponed 2020 event. Championship competitors competing are Wade Black, Craig Cameron, and Ken McNabb. The Wild Card competition will feature three of the nation’s best up and coming colt starters and include Wylene Davis, Cole Cameron and Craig Moore.
I held tickets for the Kentucky based Road to the Horse 2021 event, when will I get my refund?
The refund process has been implemented and you will receive an automatic refund on the credit card you purchased your event tickets on.
Why can’t I transfer my Kentucky ticket to Fort Worth?
Kentucky ticket holders are unable to transfer their tickets to Fort Worth because of the venue change. A different the seating plan requires the repurchase of tickets.
