    Wednesday March 2, 2016, will be the last day to join as a Roadie. The website will no longer be accepting renewals or new members as we prepare to make our way to Lexington, KY. Fans can join or renew at Road to the Horse 2016. Join/renew online here.

    Thursday March 17, 2016

    Fans will get a chance to kick off Road to the Horse 2016 with a St Patrick’s Day celebration in the dirt! They’ll meet the competitors and the horses, and enjoy fun activities on the arena floor. The AQHA Remuda from the 6666 Ranch, will enjoy some free time in a large section of the arena, where the fans can meet them face to face for the very first time. AQHA President and 6666 Ranch Resident Veterinarian, Dr. Glenn Blodgett will be on hand to answer questions and introduce the colts.

    fanupdatesAll Road to the Horse 2016 activities on March 17, 2016, are FREE to the public and doors will open to the public at 1:00pm. Fans will enjoy shopping in our largest Marketplace ever as the Mounted Shooters of America, kick off the action at 1:30pm. A special early Meet and Greet will start with the competitors from 5:00pm to 6:00pm and the arena floor will be opened for the Shamrock Remuda Carnival from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

    Friday is Meet N Greet on the arena floor at 9:30am to 10:30am.  Arrive early before the main activities and get your autographs, pics and say hi to the celebrities of Road to the Horse.

    Friday is Wear Day at Road to the Horse. Wear your Road to the Horse Swag and you could be a lucky prize winner!

    Message from Dan James of Double Dan Horsemanship: AKA ‘Jimmy’ was started by Jim Anderson during Road to the Horse 2015. Jimmy has been with the team at Double Dan Horsemanship and friends, since the conclusion of RTTH 2015. At the time that one lucky DDH Insider wins Jimmy when drawn on Satuday March 19 at RTTH 2016, Jimmy will have had close to 10 months worth of training and care from DDH. His education has consisted of basic riding, covering all fundamentals such as, leg yield , shoulder in reverse arch, lead departures , counter canter, basic spins and roll backs, and backing up under saddle. Jimmy has also traveled to numerous events and been exposed to many situations, appearing at many clinics and demo’s. He also has a great basic liberty foundation, consisting of mark training, and the lay down. Jimmy is going to be an exceptional partner for a life full of fun, learning and adventure.

    Road to the Horse 2017 will take place at the Kentucky Horse Park March 23 – 26, 2017. Legacy Tickets are available on March 8-17, 2016 by calling 877-772-5425 or at the Alltech Arena on March 17. All Roadie tickets are available starting March 18, 2016, at the Alltech Arena.
